I reckon there is no more mysterious passage than Romans 8:28. And, yet, there is no better comfort for the soul wounded by the inexplicable events of this life. I know. Romans 8:28 liberated me from the pain of the past and ushered me into the throneroom of grace, where God transforms the very things that hurt us into the things that heal us. “So, we deny our pain?” No. Denial is never the Way of the Cross.” “We just hope for the best?” No. Romans 8:28-30 teaches us to trust God amid the crosses of our lives. To trust is to offer ourselves—tears and all—to the Lord.
I pray you will experience the transforming power of God’s presence and promises in this Bible message on Romans 8:28-30. This is part 1 of 2 in “The Sovereignty of God and the Security of the Believer.”
