The Doctrine of Adoption in Romans 8—Part Two

The Transforming Power of Relationship on God's Terms
river in the surrounding trees

I greet you in the name of our risen Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Today’s message, drawn from Romans 8 as we continue our series, The Mighty Eighth, focuses on one of the most glorious truths in all of Scripture—a truth that has transformed my life and the lives of countless others.

As we did last week, I am sharing a companion song, “A Promise is Stronger than Blood.” This folk song speaks directly to the heart of anyone feeling lost and alone, capturing the profound reality that God, by His grace, makes us His children.

Some years ago, I had the privilege of writing a book on the Doctrine of Adoption, which has recently been re-released. I pray that this second edition supports those who need this message most deeply. You can find the publisher’s like below the music. It is available at all bookstores (If you want it but can’t afford it, I understand. Someone will foot the cost so you can get the book. Write to me, and we will make it happen: learnmore@faithforlivinginc.net).

May the Lord bless you and keep you, now and forevermore. Amen.

Faith for Living with Dr. Michael A. Milton
Faith for Living with Mike Milton
Welcome to Faith for Living with Dr. Michael A. Milton. Faith for Living features the expository Bible messages of trusted pastor and teacher, Mike Milton. Each message is coupled with Mike’s original music. Michael A. Milton, Ph.D., is a Presbyterian minister, and a Chaplain (Colonel) US Army retired. Dr. Milton also serves as an educator, author, artist, and singer songwriter. Mike founded Faith for Living, a 501(c)(3) North Carolina nonprofit corporation to bring together all ministries under one vision: to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by all means available to as many as possible. Each week we seek to preach a Word from Another World—God’s message to you—to receive a Faith for Living.
