Dear Friends and Supporters,
Greetings in the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ. As I sit to pen these words, I am reminded of the profound simplicity and unwavering faith that have guided our ministry from its inception. Our journey has always been rooted in trust, prayer, and a steadfast commitment to the Gospel.
Our mission at Faith for Living, Inc., and particularly through the D. James Kennedy Institute, has been clear: to reach the lost, strengthen the saints, and shepherd the shepherds. We strive to produce biblical content that not only educates but also inspires and transforms lives. We hold this mission dear and pursue it with pastoral care and scholarly diligence.
We have been blessed to freely make our resources available to anyone who desires them. This decision stems from a deep conviction that the Word of God should not be hindered by financial barriers. We do not charge subscriptions or run annual fundraising campaigns. Instead, we rely wholly on God’s providence, trusting Him to move the hearts of those who are able and willing to support our work.
Our financial needs are modest but essential. To maintain our broadcast and online presence, we require approximately $15,000 annually. This covers our long-time partnerships with Atlantic Coast Communications of Greenville, North Carolina, and Five More Talents, a Christian IT company in Dearborn, Michigan, and ensures that we can continue to deliver high-quality content without interruption. To date, the D. James Kennedy Institute has been generously supported by foundation grants, allowing us to develop and prepare for the launch of our main program: "Reimagining Pastoral Education and Training."
This new initiative, a 12-month pastoral residency, blends online learning from subject matter experts with guided pastoral and lay leader supervision in parish or ministry settings. It is designed to equip the next generation of pastors with the knowledge and experience they need to lead effectively, shepherd wisely, and avoid the pitfalls that often come with the transition from seminary to actual pastoral ministry. Our goal is to sustain this program through the gifts of those who benefit from the residency, fostering a self-supporting cycle of ministry and growth. You can learn more about this ministry at DJKinstitute.org.
In all of this, we remain committed to avoiding debt and refraining from manipulative fundraising tactics. Our board has graciously approved a salary for me, but my health and strength do not allow me to engage in active fundraising. Thus, our approach remains simple and prayerful: we share our needs and trust in the Lord's provision.
We humbly ask you to consider supporting our ministry. A one-time gift or even a monthly contribution through our secure Stripe platform would be a tremendous blessing. Your support enables us to focus on our mission, to create and share biblical content, and to continue our efforts to equip and uplift those in ministry.
Thank you for your prayerful consideration and for standing with us in this mission. May the Lord richly bless you, as you have been a blessing to us. I pray you may know the reality of the resurrected Christ in your life today.
Yours Faithfully,
+Mike
Glad to see this ministry continuing the work of D. James Kennedy.
If I remember correctly, he said once that his television ministry reached more people than the entire membership of the PC(USA). He was right -- much as the printing press was responsible for spreading the Reformation in ways that the earlier Waldensians and Hussites could not without mass dissemination of their message, print, radio, TV, and now the internet are key in promoting a Word-based and reasonable faith.
