“Night terrors, hyper-focusing, and being startled by the bark of your dog or a clap of thunder are not only symptoms of trauma but signs that the soul—your soul—has been bruised by the experience of human savagery. Suffering from the wounds of war can be suffering for Christ.” — Michael A. Milton, Suffering for Christ (2023)
We are thankful to announce a new work available for pre-order at this link. Suffering for Christ is set for release on August 15, 2023. All proceeds support the 501(c)(3) nonprofit mission, Faith for Living. The following is from the publisher:
Introducing Suffering for Christ, the first book in The Wounds of War Series: A collection tailored to support those ministering to Veterans and their families. Originally created for the Presbyterian and Reformed Commission on Chaplains and Military Personnel (PRCC), this publisher series aims to uncover and address the spiritual and moral wounds often associated with military service. Through Gospel-centered, theological reflection, and evidence-based pastoral application, it seeks to provide a biblical cure and compassionate care for those suffering from war’s invisible wounds.
Designed to be a valuable resource for Veterans and Families and their caregivers, including Chaplains, pastors, counselors, and other ministry providers, Suffering for Christ in The Wounds of War Series also extends its reach to congregations, seminaries, and nonprofits. This book seeks to empower others to minister with a greater understanding of the challenges faced by those who have borne the battle. We pray that the series will cultivate a Christian community that offers help and healing for those who have sacrificed so much.
Suffering for Christ is available in print and as an EPUB edition through Kindle, Apple Books, and all major and independent booksellers.
Note: If you are a Chaplain endorsed by the PRCC, please see their website or contact them to access this book written for you.
