Chaos on the Floor While the Enemy is at the Door

We think Carolina Journal for publishing, my op-ed on the current crisis in the House. as Terrorism rises while our borders are wide open and the oil spigot is turned off. We have a slightly different take on the Carolina Journal piece than my post here earlier this week.

As I write we are without a Speaker. I witnessed a calm and collected Representative assuring a Newsmax reporter that this is just democracy at work. Since we are a Republic and not a democracy we elect representatives of the People to govern. So, no, it is not working. And I have now heard the “sausage-making is ugly” metaphor so many times that I am close to sending a card to Congress to please cease and desist on the insults to sausage producers. It neither takes that long or that many times to make a link of sausage.
