Memory as Spiritual Formation
We invite you to read and subscribe without cost to MichaelMilton.org, the official online home of Faith for Living, Inc., a 501c3 NC nonprofit corporation
Before my entry to Substack, all of my unpublished material went on MichaelMilton.org, which is the official site for the nonprofit Faith for Living, Inc. While the site has several posts dedicated to teaching and learning in theological higher education and to courses I teach, you might find some of the material to support in your life in Christ. We are moving some of the material over here. But the material that doesn’t meet our literary goals for “public theology in the secular age” will remain at michaelmilton.org. Today, we have a new posting that seeks to help students craft a Spiritual Formation Statement.

It may help some as you consider how the Lord brought you to where you are today.

Memory can be an invaluable God-given resource in spiritual formation. Certainly, enumerating the acts of God in the world and our lives is a doxological expression of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, Psalm 77:
I will remember the deeds of the Lord;
yes, I will remember your wonders of old. Psalm 77:11
So, this little paper might serve you in some way. I hope so.
The Lord bless you and keep you and give you joy in the journey.
