Birch Haven
This watercolor captures a vivid memory of a quiet walk through an autumn forest, where a community of birch trees stood like sentinels of light amidst the fiery hues of fall. Their white trunks, marked with bold patterns, contrasted beautifully against the deep reds, oranges, and yellows that framed them. As I painted, I recalled the way the light danced between the trees, creating a rhythm of shadow and color that seemed almost alive. I hope that this piece evokes the same sense of peace and wonder I felt on that walk, reminding us of the sacred beauty found in creation’s fleeting seasons.
