The atrocities perpetrated on Israel on Saturday morning, October 7 2023, will be recalled as one of the most horrific acts in modern history. The shocking incidents of savagery perpetrated on Israelis (and more than twenty nationalities, including the United States, Canada, and Great Britain) by the Iranian-supported Palestinian terrorists defy comprehension. We must all plead for the mercies of God in this indescribable horror.
We need to also brace ourselves for the reports of inconceivable inhumanity. The cruelty of the Hamas attack is unspeakable. And yet those who report must tell the truth to the world. The state-sponsored attack is a demonstration of vile, unmitigated evil. The cries of the survivors are heartbreaking. “Our lives changed on Saturday morning. We all knew this one [this attack] was different,” said Mrs. Lisa Cohen of Jerusalem, a mother of an Israeli soldier (Interview, Fox News, 10 October 2023). Different it most certainly is, and in the most horrible way.

We are thankful for elected leaders supporting Israel in this horrible premeditated event. But some responses by elected officials were deeply disturbing.
We are not only repulsed by the despicable comments from some leftist Democratic members of the United States Congress but disappointed by those Congressional members who issued a cowardly “no comment” to inquiries. Shame and dishonor drape their persons. We call on their constituents to address this black mark on our nation by calling on them to resign immediately. Otherwise, we plead with our fellow Americans to remove these cowards by the election box. There are times when we must put politics aside and stand as one. Now is such a time.
Yet, we remember that our God reigns. His salvation and justice may appear hidden for a season, but His presence is certain. We are not without help. There is hope.
Psalm 23:4 - "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me."
John 14:26-27 - “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”
Would you join me in prayer?
Lord God, our Father in Heaven, who sent Thy Son as Savior to the world through the Jewish people, hear our prayer for families in the state of Israel as they suffer under the inconceivable brutality of a ruthless tribe, as women, children, and the elderly are killed, dragged through the streets, kidnapped, and abused by diabolical forces; Grant Thy hand of protection over the leaders of Israel, especially its Prime Minister, and give strength and courage to the Soldiers who must defend their people from murderous hordes of invaders; And, we pray Thee, give wisdom with righteous indignation to those peoples of the earth who will stand with Israel, especially the United States, Great Britain, the Commonwealth of Nations, and France, so that opportunistic evil actors may be contained, their inhumanity punished according to the rule of law and the legitimate power of the sword, lest this hatred of Israel ignites a veritable conflagration of hostilities in the world, conjuring the detestable and vicious spirits of war upon the nations; For peace and security in Jerusalem, for restoration of those taken, for comfort to the grieving, and for the salvation of many we plead through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with Thee O Father, and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever more. Amen.
